Thinking good about them requires us to think that their intention was good even though they got it wrong (Imam Qurtobee rah).

When the sword is placed in my Ummah it will then not be withdrawn till the Last Hour (Tirmidh). A rebellious group will emerge at the time of dissent amongst the Muslims and it will be destroyed by the closer of the two groups to the truth (Muslim). An affair lingering day & night will not come to an end until Mu'aawiyah (ra) is at the helm of the State (Daylamee). O Allah SWT Make him (Mu'aawiyah (ra)) a guide, 'Mahdiyan' - one guided and guide others through him (Tirmidhi).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 77 The Fox of The Arabs  War is inevitable Amr (ra) foresees the unfolding events during The Fitnah so he leaves The Holy City for Shaam. The news of the martyrdom of Uthmaan (ra) reaches Amr (ra) and says, Soon there will be war and whoever takes part in it will make it worse. 'The wise is not the one who knows good from evil but he who knows the better of the 2 evils.'

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 75 The Fox of The Arabs  'By Hands of Scribes, Honoured and Righteous.' The best of you are those who take the least from the world and desire the hereafter (Baihaqi). I fear for my Ummah after me the denial of Qadr and belief in the stars (Abu Yalaa). 'Speaking ignorantly about Qadr is postponed now and will be done by the worst of my Ummah in later generations' (Ibn Adee). Does Allah SWT determine something for me and then punish me for it ? (Haakim). He SWT never forced you once to disobey Him (SWT) - yet His Knowledge is Absolute , thus His Knowledge of it was from pre-eternity.' Is a matter already ordained or is it a matter that will be ordained as we go ? Umar (ra) It's a matter already ordained! Why should we then exert? No! The Good cannot be attained except by working! We will then exert our best O Messenger ﷺ! (Ahmad).
